What we do not collect
- No name, email, phone number, or address.
- No account, profile, or saved history.
- No address of the building you live in, and no answers you gave the rights tool.
- No record connecting you to any property, landlord, or link you opened.
This matters more than usual here. Looking up your rights can reveal that you are in trouble with your housing, or that you are thinking about organizing where you live. The safest version of that record is the one that was never written.
The rights tool
The three-question tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your answers are never sent anywhere, never stored, and never seen by us. Closing the tab erases them. If you share a computer, note that the page itself stays in your browser history like any other page you visit.
What does happen
Your browser
This site stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage, no tracking pixels.
Analytics
There are none on this site. We do not know how many people visited, which pages they read, or what they clicked.
Our hosting provider
Like any website, our host briefly logs requests, including IP address and browser type, as part of serving and protecting the site. We do not use those logs to profile visitors.
Fonts
The page loads two typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them. That request tells Google your IP address, the way visiting any site that uses those fonts would. We would rather it did not, and we are looking at serving the fonts ourselves.
When you leave for the community
The join buttons open Skool, which hosts our member community. From that moment you are on their platform and under their privacy policy, and they will collect whatever signing up asks for. That is a separate decision from reading this site, and everything here works without joining anything.
The map
The public map we are building tracks properties, not people. It holds no tenant names, no tenant contact information, and nothing about who lives anywhere. See where the information comes from for what it does hold and where each piece originates.
Workshops and clinics
The teaching half of every Know Your Power session is recorded and becomes a free course. The clinic half is never recorded, so people can talk about their real situations. What you say in a clinic is not written down, published, or repeated.
