See the whole landscape, not just your own block

There is a lot of publicly supported housing in the tri-county area, and almost none of it is easy to look up. We are putting it on one public map, so tenants and neighbors can understand what is around them and who to talk to.

Why we're building it

Understanding the landscape

Most of this information is technically public and practically unreachable. It sits across several agencies, in several formats, and sometimes behind a records request. The people with the most at stake are usually the last to see any of it.

Putting it in one place lets a tenant see what kind of housing they actually live in, lets advocates notice patterns across properties, and helps everyone find the organizations already doing good work nearby.

We are not looking for bad actors. This is not an enforcement project and there is no list of villains at the end of it. We publish what the public record says, and people draw their own conclusions.

What's on it

What the map shows

Every entry is assembled from public records and carries its sources.

Where it is. Name, address, county, and a real map you can zoom.
How many homes. Total units, restricted units, and the income levels they are set aside for.
Which law applies. The organizing rights that come with that kind of housing, so you know where you stand before you talk to anyone.
Affordability timelines. When restrictions are scheduled to change, so tenants and advocates can plan years ahead instead of finding out late.
Who runs it. Owner, developer, and management company, as listed in public filings.
Condition on record. Inspection scores and dates, and open code cases, as published by the agency that recorded them.
Support services. Where a public source names a services provider at a property, who they are and what they offer, so you know who to call for help where you already live.
Where each item came from. Sources and a last-checked date on every entry.

A few things the map is not. It does not rate, rank, or score anyone. It does not track people, and holds no tenant names or information about who lives anywhere. And it is not legal advice. It is a starting point for a conversation with your neighbors.

Status

Being built now

The underlying data is assembled and more than 1,000 tri-county properties are mapped so far. The map itself is in active development and opens alongside the first network meeting on January 28, 2027.
